"I hope all the projects will be implemented in time for the benefit of the people," he said.
"To ensure all the objectives are achieved, the state government should work closely with the Federal government."
Present were the Raja Perempuan Kelantan Tengku Anis Tengku Abdul Hamid and the Tengku Mahkota Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra.
The projects approved under the 9MP included Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, a new highway from Kota Baru to Kuala Krai and extending the runway at Sultan Ismail Petra Airport.
The Sultan also hoped that the proposed East Coast corridor development programme, that focused on cross-border development, would make a big impact on the state’s economy.
"The state’s strength in bordering with Thailand and being involved with the Joint Development Area will help in the planning of the programme," he said.
The Sultan was also happy that the state government was committed to promoting investments in new sectors in the service, agriculture and tourism industries.
"The value of investment in the industrial sector (however) is still low at about RM128 million.
"I understand that the state government is trying to attract investors by preparing a commercial and industrial strategic plan to create competent Bumiputera businessmen," he said.
