Darul Digital Pusat Animasi and Multimedia Sdn Bhd, a company formed under Menteri Besar Incorporated, located at KB Bazaar, will train youths in computer graphics and animation.
Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said the initiative would see the talent of Kelantanese youths being harnessed.
He said, with this exposure, they could later set up their own companies and production houses and contribute to the film animation industry.
"Instead of loitering around, they can do something creative with their minds and hands. I also want them to project the right virtues of Islam through animation," he said when opening an exhibition here.
The state will bear the six-week training cost for the initial batch of 300 students.
State exco member Datuk Husam Musa said the intake was for those aged 15 and above. No qualification is needed, only keen interest and a positive attitude.
Those keen to join the free training can call 09-747 4082 for registration and inquiries.
