After my website in version Joomla suspended by hosting server cause by violation of AUP and Term Of Service for 3 Months.  On the 2nd January 2009 I’ve upload a new version of my website/Blog. Hmmm… Let call it blog, cause wordpress is a blogging tool, Joomla more suitable for dynamic website.  This time I choose the most popular blogging tools in the world, WordPress ver 2.7. Last version the quote of my website is “Your 1-Stop Infotainment“. But this time i changed the quote to  “Learn, Unlearn & Relearn“. Where I take it? I know this quote from my ex-sifu during practical in Cosmopoint’s ACCP program for 3 Months on 2005. You can see his project at here-> Red1.org.  So, what is the meaning of this quote. Read the text below:

Interesting article at News.com: “Intelligence in the Internet Age” generated some random thinking for me today.  Well, there’s that quote by Alvin Toffler:

“The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.”

And another, originally by me (way back when, on my personal profile on AOL 2.0, circa-1993):

“When you stop learning, you stop growing.”

Of course, since then, I see that this quote has appeared in many cool places, including the Careers Page of El Pollo Loco.  I probably didn’t say it first after all: I just think I did  ;)

As I’ve been raised on, am passionate about and consume technology, I don’t fear it: I embrace it.  Not everyone (outside of my co-workers) has the same delight, however.  When we get excited about a user experience (for better or worse) at Microsoft, we ask ourselves: “what about my mom / dad?”, meaning: “how would they enjoy / cope with this experience”.  This approach is proving to be an effective yardstick when thinking about customer experience.

This quote have similiraty for who’s invole in Information & Communication Technolgy industry career. Every time, every second, every day the technology moving fastly. For an example, the OS Microsoft, from windows 95 to Windows XP just take in 10 Years. Neither you want or not, you’ve to learn new knowledge, skill and solution method in this field. You can’t control the system, sometimes you have to control the system on your own way.  Be creative. So, this quote the explanation of how the people involve in this career have to learm, unlearn and relearn the knowledge, skill and solution method everyday to make life more easier for ourselves and other peoples.

I love this career even at my workplace, the salary not worth like the others career which is uses communication skill. Because sometimes, communication  skill can be “bodek”. Lastly, I thankful to the God what I’ve now.
